Criminal Minds is a crime drama that premiered on CBS on September 22, 2005. It follows the adventures of an FBI profiling team from the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) from Quantico, Virginia, that stars Thomas Gibson as Aaron Hotchner. Criminal Minds differs from many criminal system procedural dramas by focusing on the criminal rather than the crime itself. The BAU travels to New Mexico to assist local authorities in apprehending a serial killer who is garroting women in a gated community. Agent Ashley Seaver, an FBI cadet with a troubled past, assists with the case. The team profiles a killer targeting women inside of a gated New Mexico community, and Hotch asks for help from an FBI cadet.
